Pen doodles!

Ballpoint pen drawins. My daily life is interrupted every day by the fact I can't decide if drawing with ballpoint pen is my favorite thing to do on the planet Earth. Long hours of debate take place trying to come to a conclusion. Sometimes frisbee golf edges to the top, or monster truck rally-racing.

I was just flipping through Facebook pages drawing random images at random.

John H. Vanderpoel Studies heads, faces, and skulls

The pages were mostly text, with a few full page drawings. These were the images on the side of each page. I will try to draw the pages I left out, but for now I might take a break from the studies. I feel I was rushing through some of these drawings.

The bottom right image was really hard to tackle. For me anyways.

People, places, and or things.

Drawings from coffee shops, airports and jail. No I'm kidding, none of these are from coffee shops. All were drawn with a pencil , and painted with watercolors. Except those without color. They were painted with clear color.
The middle girl and the guy on the left were from an airline magazine. The rest are real people eye saw with my own 2 eyes and 9 fingers.

I drew these with my right hand. Whats left of it.

Solar powered

There was a town meeting on solar power here in Smedjebacken. I went because that means there will be free models, and I had some unused space in my watercolor sketchbook. The sketch on the left is from 2008. The 2 on the left are from today.

Parks, picnics, parties, and proms. Part 9

Honestly these were done as fast as possible. I wanted to keep my hand moving, and draw a fast gesture of each face. Using shapes I tried to make each one as simple and fun as possible.

At the NCN I won something!!!!!!!! Yeaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a convention of caricature artists in the little big town of Reno Nevada. It was a week long, and one of the events was "The Speed Competition." 80 artists from around the world competed to be the fastest on the the planet. We had to draw as many black and white faces as possible in 5 minutes. I completed 19! It was fun to compete with and againest my fiends, and win something.
Well I get to be the 3rd loser for about a year. Its better than 4th place. Caricature.org
****Update****
Big Kev shot some video of it, if you want to check it out. I'm in the hat. The other guy is some dude named Joe Bluhm.

Can you guess who's who? I can.
