Drawing at a little picnic with Court Jones

It was a great learning experience sitting next to Court for this gig. His line work iss amaaazzing! I was trying to study his execution, and really focused on how he does noses. He can do them effortlessly in about one continuous line. I feel mine have become to monotonous, and so I tried to replicate his results. Please just let me know what you think of the likeness's, where I went wrong or where there is room to improve. I would really appreciate any kind of critique for this one, or any other post. I'm posting my sketches so that I can improve.

This girl had a little snaggley tooth on the left. When I saw it I asked her to smile a little bigger and said" It looks like you got one hiding in there." She didn't open her mouth any more after that.

I luv drawing me them fat kids.

I love the way you just totally go for it. When I drew caricatures, I think I just played it too safe. I salute your willingness to freak your subjects out!

Mike-

Its a mole. The picture isn't all that great ( click on it to make it bigger) and you'll see thhha biggeest damn mole I have ever seen. The sucker even had hair coming out of it.

Joe-

Thanks. I'm watering my little caricature flower every day.

Supreme Nothing- Is it a Military salute or the ultra cool 3-finger Boy Scout salute?

My favorites the asian dude in the south pole shirt. The ones that don't work for me are the kid directly beneath him and the old guy in the hat. Drawing the kid's mouth so high exagerates his chin, when I think its his cheeks that stand out. Sinking the features down an inch or two might accomplish that. The old dude looked to me like most of his head mass was above his eyes, not below, especially with that hat. Just my two cents. But keep up the good work dude, I'm digging your stuff.

Dave - FINALLY, a critique! Yes! Thanks dude. You're right about the kid. I just messed up on his faceshape, but I enjoyed the challenge of trying to bring it to a finish anyways. (I hate ripping off a sketch and starting over)
I do hafta disagree with you on the oldguy sketch. His hat pinches in at the temples, and his cheeks and jaw stick out the most. Even his ears stick out past his hat. I also needed to make something smaller to make the other features look bigger. There was alot more fun things to draw on the lower part of his face as well. Thanks again for your advice and I will keep it in mind next time.
