November 30 Days of Drawing (Day 27-29) Maia!

I was very pleased with this drawing. At first. Now I'm seeing some things that need a little adjusting. Its funny how seeing a drawing after its scanned or the size is reduced, you can pick up on some of the mistakes, and changes that are needed. My daughter was a very good model for this one. She was reading her Disney Princess magazine, and it helped her to keep her pose. I won't take full credit for the nose. My wife helped fix it after I drew it to big. I am very happy with most of the results.
Another phalaenopsis, but this time one of Mother-n-laws. Its my first attempt to draw one, or any flower from the back. The one on the right did not come out as good as I hoped. (Next time)

November 30 Days of Drawing (Day 20-24) Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain

Not the best likeness. He looks more like a sentimental Jesus than a melancholy grudge rocker. I've been listening to Nirvana alot lately, and the local Swedish rock station plays them frequently. The other day  I drew a girl playing a cello, and wearing a Nirvana shirt. She was the same age I was when I first started listening to the band. Kinda weird, but made me happy at the same time. I wonder how or fathers felt when they first saw a younger generation wear clothing with the names of their favorite bands from their youth.

From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah [Live] - Its Nirvana, its live, you can pretend they are in your living room, or car.
Sliver: The Best of the Box - Alot of their demos, early recordings, some early live work, and alternate takes

November 30 Days of Drawing (Day 14-15) Flowers?

One of the flowers on a phalaenopsis orchid I received for Swedish Fathers Day. A little known fact about me: I can draw any orchid,  from memory. I might start drawing, or painting one a day. We have 12 plants now, and its nice to see them taking turns blooming.
Any time I get the excuse, I will buy my wife roses. She loves their smell, and will make time to draw them. Sometimes I join in on the fun.
