Self Portrait #1
This is what I look like made out of oilAfter I'm done with a painting I scrape all the leftover colors that I have mixed into little puddles of warm and cool greys. I also wipe my brushes off on a blank canvas. When I started this painting I had a couple of weeks worth of these spare colors, and a very interesting and dark canvas. In a way this portrait is an amalgamate of my paintings. All the experiance from the other paintings went into this portrait by using those colors. A kinda alternative way to symbolize oneself by means of color, instead of objects.

Sven Portrait
In Sweden on your last day of work you get.....a portrait.
Well I'm happy with some of the colors. I tried to use as much color theory as I could. There's a few things I'd like to fix but its gone now. Thats what you get for doing something the day its due. No time to make changes.

The best landscape painting I did on my weekly outdoor painting trip with Court Jones at the San Diego Mission

8x12 oil on massonite
Last year I did a little painting in Balboa park of a tree in watercolor. I didn't now how to mix colors back then. After doing a few studies in oil and practicing more with watercolor I painted over it. Adding more cools in the darks and bumping up the warms in the light. Before I started it had a 3 values.

These are those Artist Trading Cards that are all the rage with the kids in Somalia. Its a way to spread the love. Kinda like STDs. Its the whole reason the terrorists want to take away our freedom. Because we are free to make ATCs whenever and where ever with who ever you want. If you don't know what a Artist Trading Card is, then use the interslope and check'em out.

9
Watch this if you want to be amazed right out of your pants.
It looks like everything you ever wanted in a movie,
and then somehow it really happened.
This is better then fixing the hole in the ozone, or ending global warming.

....and it has nothing to do with me having 9 fingers, or that it comes out a few days after my birthday.
